Italian
as a foreign language
Our courses are designed to teach
the language while giving an opportunity to
learn more about Italian culture and lifestyle.
Knowing the local language is essential to make
friends, earn a living, become participating
members of a community, as well as assimilate
the ideas, humor, wisdom and common sense of
those around us. Communication is the
key to successful relations.
Knowing
another language facilitates cultural
exchanges, has important business benefits
and makes us understand different values in
order to build successful relationships. Through
supporting culturally innovative projects and
people we hope to encourage individuals to enjoy
new experiences, share knowledge and appreciate
other lifestyles, societies and arts from across
the globe. Motivation
is the key for successful learning, we have
therefore taken great care to choose topics
which will stimulate the students intellectually
as well as linguistically. With a commitment
to academic excellence, our approach to teaching
presents a high priority on facilitating interaction
between students and faculty working in small
groups which allows them to benefit fully from
a wealth of exchanges among people from all
over the world. Most of our adult students have
a limited amount of time for their studies.
They need to to ensure that the time they spend
on their Italian learning is highly focused
and goal oriented.
On the first day, after the test, the students
are invited to visit the charming Ostuni old
town. The school also organizes a small party
during the first week end, as well as some night
summer parties on the beach. At our school there
is a relaxed and familiar environment thanks
to our inspired, experienced and qualified teachers
and friendly staff. Our students may also enjoy
local sport facilities like tennis, sailing,
horseback riding, while learning about Italian
art and food, literature and music.

Our mission, at “Culture”,
is to interconnect people to the arts, ideas,
literature, philosophy, music and beliefs of
our modern society.
La nostra “mission” è quella
di interconnettere le persone alle arti, idee,
letterature, filosofie, musiche e pensieri della
società contemporanea, agevolando contaminazioni
ed ibridazioni culturali.
A volte lo studio di una cultura diversa si
limita ad evidenziare gli aspetti più
curiosi dei comportamenti di popoli diversi
da noi. Per questo a volte si attribuisce alla
cultura “diversa” le incomprensioni
ed i litigi tra persone tralasciando il merito
delle questioni. La nostra attività mira
a promuovere la conoscenza interculturale per
facilitare una migliore convivenza con gruppi
etnici “non autoctoni” (per quanto
possa aver senso tale definizione) e contribuire
a combattere il razzismo. A tal fine utilizziamo
gli strumenti più avanzati delle scienze
umanistiche insieme ai nuovi media quali internet
(podcasting, blog, social network, Facebook
etc) cinema e televisione per creare una rete
dinamica di modelli sociali e cognitivi.
