ITALIAN
COURSES
Our
courses. Before starting a course
each student will take an entry test in order
to place him or her in a group that is suited
to his/her knowledge of the Italian language.
The groups of students are on average small
with a maximum of 8 students per class. There
are six levels from absolute beginner to advanced.
The lessons take place from Monday to Friday,
normally in the morning. The cost of the course
includes: lessons, course entry test and certificate
of attendance, teaching materials (except dictionary),
booking of accommodation, help with applications
for visa and residence permit, as well as some
social activities organized by the school.
A special approach.
The high level of teaching in our courses is
guaranteed by the training and experience of
our teachers. We use both a natural approach
and a communicative approach focusing on communication
rather than language form. We follow the natural
pattern of first language acquisition when teaching
a second language, allowing comprehension to
precede speech production. Our teachers are
either native speakers or have an equivalent
command of the language. They enjoy incorporating
cultural elements into the lessons while introducing
vocabulary and phrases through authentic, engaging
activities.

Location:
Our school is located in Ostuni and Lecce but
it will soon be possible to attend some of our
art courses in Rome, famous for its antiquities
as well as for its contribution to modern art,
design, music and fashion. Ostuni is a medieval
town 7 km from the sea; the old town is built
on the top of a hill; the ancient medieval walls
make Ostuni an architectural jewel, commonly
referred to as "the White Town” for
its white walls and its typically white-painted
architecture. A monument on its own, the town's
largest buildings are the Cathedral and the
Bishop's Palace.
Outside the town, among centuries old olive
groves it’s possible to visit our famous
"masserie", fortified large estate-farms,
among which San Domenico, a masseria once held
by the Knights of Malta. Lecce, is a charming
baroque town at the southern tip of Puglia,
dating back to the 16th century. It is often
referred to as the Florence of the south.
