A Guide only service can also
be offered, in case you have booked your hotel
or villa. It includes a guide, and/or driver,
and the winetastings.
Wellness
One
good way of extending the pleasures of good
eating to those of feeling well, trim and in
shape is a relaxing massage with products derived
from wine and extra-virgin olive oil, for the
salubrious benefits of the vitamins and polyphenols
contained in grapes and olives. A sturdy gourmet
walking tour lets you indulge your palate without
adding to your waistline, and a cooking-tour
holiday can show you how to prepare delicious
low-calorie, wholesome traditional dishes. All
this may be enjoyed at the wellness centres
of Torre Coccaro, San Domenico or Kalidria.
Sailing
To those who know the wonders of sailing no
explanation is necessary; to those who don’t,
none is possible. We provide tours on an eighteen-
metre sailing boat with crew. Lunch is served
on board.
See the lovely and historic Apulian coast from
the sea, on your way to the fabled city of Otranto.
After a swim in waters rich with many species
of marine life and a boat tour around Leuca
and Porto Cesareo natural preservation islands
you’ll have a dip in one of the pleasant
fresh-water creeks. The Blue grotto in Castro
and other less famous yet very beautiful grottoes
will leave you memories long to last.
Then on to Tricase, an attractive fishing village
where you can have lunch in a good restaurant
on the beach and leisurely enjoy your luscious,
tasty meal. If you prefer you may picnic on
board with some excellent local food products.
Art
tours: Lecce With
a friendly expert as your guide, discover the
riches of Lecce, one of Italy’s most important
centers of learning and culture, and a treasure
trove of historical sights.
Lecce’s historic center is the third baroque
town in Italy after Rome and Naples. The central
piazza Sant’Oronzo lies midway between
the 12th century castle and the cathedral. The
square is dominated by the Roman amphitheatre
built in the first century before Christ. We
will visit the majestic Piazza del Duomo built
in the 12th century. This beautiful square is
dominated by an unusually high bell tower (68metres).
A wealth of beautiful churches grace the city
centre, including Santa Croce, the most celebrated
of the town’s baroque monuments. Your
relaxing lunch will feature the renowned cuisine
and wines of Salento.
